Hi, I've had access to the "M" version, which I think is optically the same. I think you'd find it fine for quick snaps. It's not bad wide open but does improve with stopping down. It's not in the same league as the K35/3.5 but I think it would be pretty hard to see the difference in 4X6 prints..... Many of the "M" 35/2.8's were afflicted with "slow" aperture syndrome, don't know if that was corrected with the "A" series but you may want to ask a few questions of the seller or check it out ahead of time......
