I have noticed a similar problem to this in one of my bodies. It actually does get bad focus indication occasionally when resetting the mirror lockup. The mirror sometimes "sticks" halfway down (so I don't think it's due to the foam). It "clicks" back down after a couple of seconds (or if I flip the mirror up and back down). It also has a minor focussing problem in addition to this (either the mirror or the screen is sitting unstraight). I'll be getting it looked at when I get around to finishing the film that's in it. > - when this foam has become flat, or someone has removed it, > then this mirror support swings up too far, and as a result > the front of the mirror swings up not far enough, so the > viewscreen is not completely blocked (possible light leak) > during exposure. I wonder if that was what was causing random light leaks in one of the bodies I recently sold. I was suspecting the foam in the back but it was so intermittent I didn't bother trying to get it fixed. > Film speed setting dial > it is located near the lens mount, and collects dirt/grease from > peoples hands. > As a result, it can be very difficult to change the setting. > (particulary if you don't press the black button) Well if you don't press the black button you can't change the asa setting :) > Otherwise the K2 is an excelent camera (the only PENTAX besides the LX with > a large sized mirror) Yes, and the viewfinder is the best I've ever looked through. I just wish it was removable so I could fit a waist-level finder. I also love the light meter although I do wish my repair agents could competently service/calibrate it. Thanks for the information though; I'll be filing this one away for future reference. Cheers, - Dave David A. Mann, B.E.
