Twain is in essence an intermediate language between the acquisition software (Silverfast in this case) and the software that is importing the data. So if you intend to scan direct to another application such as an OCR (optical character recognition) package then you would likely require the TWAIN capable package. > Is anyone using SF > with PS CS on Win XP?
