Just in case you missed it there was a 500/4.5 Takumar with 6x7 mount on eBay (auction now ended)

In experiments with my own SMCT 500/4.5 I couldn't get the image circle to cover 6x7 so I thought it might be a myth. But no, here it is. The final price of $1725 is about three times what I would expect for a 500/4.5 Takumar (i.e. no SMC) so somebody looks to have paid a great deal for a rarity. Paul Ewins Melbourne, Australia
