Well, I don't ~yet~ own a *ist D or a *ist DS, but (this being Thanksgiving time here in the US and all), I would just like to say that I am very grateful that I will ~eventually~ be able to answer your question with the name of a lens that I already have - <g>. Remember, it was not all that long ago that, here on the PDML, there was one discussion after another bemoaning the fact that (at that time) Pentax seemed as if it were ~never~ going to come out with any sort of a K-mount DSLR. So, I am ~very~ thankful that, sooner or later, I will be able to say that "I use my old "SMC A [...]" on my *ist D[S] more often than not" - <g>. Fred
