There's something absolutely surreal about that photo! The bland, homogenized expressions, all of them looking the same way (at what?), the mother's over-made-up face, dad's shades and that horrible Hawaiian shirt, the American flags on the windshield. It looks like something from the 50's - and the car and the buildings in the background don't do anything hurt that last observation. Oh yeah, there's the church there, too.
