You're correct. But the "K" designation never appeared on the lenses, whereas "M" and "A" lenses were identified with the series letter.

Oh, I thought the "K" series matched the fact that they came out with the "K" cameras, and the "M" series came out with the "M" series cameras, and the "A" series came out with the "A" series cameras??? At least, that is my interpretation, based on the K-Mount Page...
