I would also suggest you use low strength threadlock to fix any screws so
that they won't come loose again. The offical threadlock is "Threebond 1401"
which was Made in Japan, and available from MicroTools, but rather
expensive. I managed to get one though a local auto shop (C$30 I think) and
save the shipping. The bad news is, the smallest bottle is 200g which is not
exactly small.

OK, thanks to advice from the group I now have the lens apart and have
found the cause of the locked focus.

I need a replacement for the mangled contact plate. Where is the best
place to get Pentax parts? Canada preferred.
