Hmmm...
I believe digital photography is basically the same as photographing with
film.
The overall technology is the same: A lens is covering an adjustable opening
in a small, dark chamber (=camera), in which a light sensitive
reciever/perceptor/recorder is placed for the purpose of recording and
storing an image, which is "drawn" by the lens, in a (short) period of time.
How the recording device is made does not change the basic principals of
photography IMO. As far as Pentax is concerned (this is a Pentax user
mailing list) - well Pentax does not provide/make the sensors anyway. Most
Petnax lenses are suitable for both film and CCD sensors (and others)
anyway.

I believe I'll (continue to) choose my "sensor type" depending on the job,
the available time frame etc.
All the best

Hey you guys, just thought I would toss out one my random and rather
infrequent posts, have fun :o)

Just for starters, so you know what I am talking about, in the movie The
Last Samurai, Japan is going through its industrial revolution but the
Samurai think it is a bad idea to have so much technology because everyone
is forsaking the old traditional values of honor.

Therefore, I think that all of us here on the Pentax discussion list who
refuse to switch over to the digital world should call ourselves the Pentax
Samurai, because we still believe in the old ways of true art and honor. If
you agree with me I think it would be AWESOME if you put Pentax Samurai at
the bottom of your emails as a signature.

Just a thought.
