Now that I think about it, I have not seen any tessar type 35mm SLR lenses with 40mm focal length, all I have seen are 50mm. which tessar 40mm lenses are for 35mm SLRs? What mount?
Hmm... Not 40mm but 45mm f2.8 for Contaflex and also for Contax/Yashica (same register and diameter as K-mount).
The pentax 40m pancake is a tessar derived lens I think.
40mm tessar type lenses I know are for rangefinders indeed, not SLR.
