istD-DS software and Windows 98

Could someone let me know if the istD and or istDs software runs on Windows 
98 second edition OS. The computer is an NEC 8100 powermate with USB....
If so, I think I'll pick up an istD or maybe the DS. Blacks camera seems to 
be offering a very good price for the ist d if you are an airmiles user. $200 
price reduction. Camera only for 1699.00 CDN.
