That's OK Bill. I think I'll have my hands busy with my new 3050mm lens (Meade 12" LX200). It arrived yesterday.
I hadn't told Linda... since I didn't want her to suggest a more practical use of money. :)
She called and told me I had received some packages.
She said it looked like a telescope, from the writing on the boxes.
I said yes it is.
She said she's scared (the boxes are quite large).
When I got home I explained how this is the culmination of a 24 year dream and how in real dollars this was less expensive and technologically more advanced than what I could have purchased way back when.
She asked when I woud be getting my next bigger and better telescope.
I said probably never, this would be it.
She never asked what it cost.
Of course there's a couple $1000 of accesories to acquire over time and the 6 foot dome I plan on putting up next summer.
