It's not hard to reattach. I had the same thing happen to my Super A
when I was running through knee deep mud (camera and flash quickly
thrown into a water proof bag over my shoulder) when someone I was with
had a suspected bluering octopus bite (quite often fatal) and the
nearest phone was 600 metres away through the mud.

Take the top cover off the camera and you will find 4 screws that
normally hold the hot shoe to the camera. You can probably still use
these to simply reattach it. I didn't want it to happen again so I
added a bit of epoxy to hold the hotshoe in place. I was using it
again later that day and it never fell off again (though it was stolen
2 years later so it may have had problems since).

Hope this helps.
