Yeah, the tops of the bars are pretty scratched up.  You know what
that's from?  Not roll overs (bikes tend to slide on their sides
during or after crashes), but from something much more mundane than
that:  changing flat tires.  Rear wheels on track bikes are easier to
change when the bike's upside down, so the bars get all scratched on
the concrete sidewalk whilst the bike is being wiggled about from the
torque of the wrench and the adjustments needed to the rear wheel to
get the chain tension just right.  Since the bars are aluminium which
is soft...

Pista is Italian for "track" - it's what most Italian manufacturers
call their track bikes.

As for the idea of a more "abstract" look, I like it.  Who knows, I
may soon be enabled with a 50 mm f1.2 - with that narrow dof, we'll
see what happens.
