The SF1 eyecup is unique in that it has a tiny plastic window on the left that allows the user to see the RTF flash-ready light, which is not actually in the viewfinder but a separate light to the left of the eyepiece. I don't know why they did that, as any external flash gets a ready light in the viewfinder itself and subsequent cameras, like the PZ-1 and onward, used separate icons in the viewfinder for RTF and external flash-ready signals.
The last two eyecups on eBay went for about $28 and more than $30, I believe.
The guy I am trying to find the eyecup for no longer cares about the ready light, he just wants something that will fit his eyepiece.
I'd check if the istD eyecup fits, except that Pentax Canada is pulling a CRKennedy at the moment, and isn't sending out special orders, and I don't have an eyecup for the istD at the moment.
