Grain Surgery seems highly regarded, it can remove, synthesize and match grain patterns but I can't comment with any authority as I've not used it. I have however used both NeatImage and NoiseNija, both are very effective, they rely upon noise profiles which allows them to perform noise/grain reduction in profiled media quite accurately. There is generally some very subtle detail lost in the case of images with little grain or noise to start with but in the case of noisy images it's usually a definite gain. NeatImage provides a little more control over the noise reduction and can be configured to preserve details more completely (at the expense of the retention of some grain/noise artifacts). The set of patterns is the same as those supported by PatternLayout. Yoav recently applied a patch by toraneko AT kun DOT ne DOT jp adding charset support for SMTPAppender We are still missing the ability to send emails through SMTP servers requiring authentication. Anyone interested in adding this functionality? (It should not be too hard to do, except that the functionality should be tested with an actual SMTP server requiring authentication.) Skandalozni postupak ministra odbrane u poslu s americkom firmom `Meridian Homes` Prvoslav Davinic, ministar vojni, tesko se ogresio o sluzbeni polozaj potpisivanjem ugovora s americkom firmom `Meridian Homes`.. Tek toliko i o ovim detaljima famoznog ugovora... A, kao nadoknadu dobija sve gotovo u centralnoj zoni Beograda... http://www.inter-nacional.com/srp/index.php ------=_NextPart_000_009A_01C4E392.B6EC0CF0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40" xmlns:o =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" xmlns:w =3D=20 "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word"><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"> <META content=3DWord.Document name=3DProgId> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.2900.2523" name=3DGENERATOR> <META content=3D"Microsoft Word 11" name=3DOriginator><LINK=20 href=3D"cid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" rel=3DFile-List><!--[if gte = mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:DoNotRelyOnCSS/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:WordDocument> <w:SpellingState>Clean</w:SpellingState> <w:GrammarState>Clean</w:GrammarState> <w:DocumentKind>DocumentEmail</w:DocumentKind> <w:EnvelopeVis/> <w:ValidateAgainstSchemas/> <w:SaveIfXMLInvalid>false</w:SaveIfXMLInvalid> <w:IgnoreMixedContent>false</w:IgnoreMixedContent> <w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText>false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceholderText> <w:BrowserLevel>MicrosoftInternetExplorer4</w:BrowserLevel> </w:WordDocument> </xml><![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <w:LatentStyles DefLockedState=3D"false" LatentStyleCount=3D"156"> </w:LatentStyles> </xml><![endif]--> <STYLE>@page Section1 {size: 8.5in 11.0in; margin: 1.0in 1.25in 1.0in = 1.25in; mso-header-margin: .5in; mso-footer-margin: .5in; = mso-paper-source: 0; } P.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; = mso-style-parent: ""; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; = mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman" } LI.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; = mso-style-parent: ""; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; = mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman" } DIV.MsoNormal { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; = mso-style-parent: ""; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; = mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman" } A:link { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline; text-underline: single } SPAN.MsoHyperlink { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline; text-underline: single } A:visited { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline; text-underline: single } SPAN.MsoHyperlinkFollowed { COLOR: blue; TEXT-DECORATION: underline; text-underline: single } P { FONT-SIZE: 12pt; MARGIN-LEFT: 0in; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0in; FONT-FAMILY: = "Times New Roman"; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; = mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; = mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto } SPAN.EmailStyle18 { mso-style-type: personal-compose; mso-style-noshow: yes } DIV.Section1 { page: Section1 } </STYLE> <!--[if gte mso 10]> <style> /* Style Definitions */=20 table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} </style> <![endif]--></HEAD> <BODY lang=3DEN-US style=3D"tab-interval: .5in" vLink=3Dblue = link=3Dblue> <DIV class=3DSection1> <P class=3DMsoNormal style=3D"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 12pt"><FONT face=3D"Times = New Roman"=20 size=3D3><SPAN style=3D"FONT-SIZE: 12pt"><o:p> </P> <DIV class=3Dtxtttl>Davinić krije potpisani štetni ugovor! = </DIV> <DIV class=3Dtxt valign=3D"bottom"><I>16.12.2004.</I><BR><BR>Skandalozni = postupak=20 ministra odbrane u poslu s američkom firmom `Meridian Homes` = <BR><BR>Prvoslav=20 Davinić, ministar vojni, teško se ogrešio o službeni = položaj potpisivanjem=20 ugovora s američkom firmom `Meridian Homes`.. The scanner needs a random recalibration when using the supplied twain modul for unknown reason, otherwise I get an ugly red and blue tint. With Vuescan it's a lot better but Vuescan does not recognise the negative size automatically for batch processing. On the other side, peacock feathers do change the colour from green to blue and others if you turn them in the light. Very fascinating.... I'm quite happy with the sharpness, should I expect a lot more from that lens? I'm not used to macro photography yet, that was one of the first shots, maybe I nedd to focus better :-) thanks for commenting Markus RE: PESO:peacocks eye Pentax Macro lens 50mm Hi Markus, The pic doesn't look particularly sharp, colors look a little washed out, and what's with all the purple fringing?
