Paul. I dont have a diagram, but I believe I have drawings of the parts somewhere. As for the circuits, it's quite easy because different contacts inside the flash has to be used for NiCads or normal batteries/AC-DC units. I use a 1,5 amp paoer unit, as shown in the photograph. For a few dollars you can also buy a compartment for C-batteries and connect this to the battery attrap. I found out abut the different contacts in the flash because there are different battery compartments optional for these flashes (with different contact set-ups). I'll try to find my old drawings and scan them for you. I used the kind of plastic (PVC) that is used to make computer network cable panels , which I found in the trash at work. There's a close up photograph at: http://gallery37564.fotopic.net/p10016673.html
I'll try to make better photographs without the insulation arround the centre collumn (a plastic film container) shortly. There is a Metz AC adapter (N22/N23) that I believe plugs into the side rather than replaces the battery pack and I have been trying to find which pins it uses for what and the appropriate voltage and current. The unit itself is something like AUD$400 - $500 from memory so I don't want to buy a new one just to experiment. I do have a battery pack replacement for use with a Quantum battery so it couldn't be too hard to rig up something like your system. Do you have a circuit diagram that explains it all?
