Hi Leon
I had the chance to print for free on a friends Canon A3 CP660 color laser
printer some times ago.
In the default settings, the pictures where way too dark and to much red and
blue.
Interestingly," Red" seems to be the most critical color to print".
The printer can be adjusted in it's menus for the RED and Brightness but not
for other colors
and of course in the generic Adobe Postscript printer driver with additional
description file for
the Canon.

I saw some stripes on large areas of the same color and overall, the quality
will never be as good
*for photos* as a good ink printer.

Really important is the choice of paper:
Inkjets work usually with thicker paper, up to 280grams, the Laser I used
made paper jams with
paper thicker than 220 grams.

But very important is the coating of the paper for the laser, choose the
wrong one and the toner will
not stay on the paper and crumble away - mostly the red parts...., it gets
scratches very easy too.
They same is true if you want to fold the printed paper later.

Conclusion: the prints from the Epson 2100 are much better than the ones
from the laser, but at a cost.
It really depends on your demands and the type of photos you want to print.

greetings
Markus
