I think you mean "gentleman of good taste and discernment" :-) I'm used to thinking of Fortnum's as a tea supplier; I often used to buy tea there (or around the corner when Jacksons was of Piccadilly). There again, what am I supposed to do? I can't get either Fortnum's or Jackson's locally, and mail order adds quite a bit to the cost. Meanwhile I can buy Ahmad teas out here in the middle-eastern markets for anywhere from $4.99 to $7.99 for a 1lb tin, depending on variety. We've even found some rather nice tea infusers. I was sceptical at first - I rather doubted there would be all that difference between a standard tea ball and these ones (somewhat larger, shaped like two truncated cones stuck base-to-base, and with fewer and smaller holes). After one blind test, though, count me among the true believers.
