Sheesh, gotta take it back. Reading the thread, yeah, I used a "brownie" that my parents had for my first photography class in college. And I am pretty sure it had no built-in meter.
As a side note, apros of nothing, I disliked that photography class so much that I didn't take another one for about forty years, and my pictures "sucked" for about forty years too. Doe aka Marnie :-( Drat.
