Hi guys, If you're disappointed about missing out on the SMCK 1000mm f/8 on the wooden tripod that was recently sold on ebay, I've found another one at my local camera shop. Before you ask, it is the K-mount version. Both lens and tripod look to be in pretty decent condition and the mechanics of the lens seemed pretty good, and I didn't even break it :) It seems to come with an aluminium trunk case for the lens and some kind of carry-case for the tripod. The price? NZ$4450, which works out to around US$1870 (based on $0.42 exchange rate). The freight? Probably quite expensive; you'll have to ask. Freight charges from NZ are typically quite cheap compared to US prices in my experience, so you might not get too much of a shock. I am not affiliated with the camera shop, aside from having spent all my money there already. Reply to me directly if you're seriously interested, and I will give you the shop's contact details. They are decent people who will accept credit cards, and are happy to ship overseas at your expense. Cheers, - Dave David A. Mann, B.E.
