My opinion is that the Kodak isn't enough different from their MAX 400 product to justify the difference in price.

Thank you to all who have replied... Does anyone have an explanation regarding the term "High Definition" on camera film? When I think "High Definition", I tend to think no graininess and sharp, clear pictures. Kodak has some "High Definition: film as well, at a higher price. Is it worth it for landscape enlargements? I guess I should have included that I like to do a little of everything. I believe that on a roll of 24 I shoot 40% landscapes, 20% macro, 20% bird only and 20% people related. Many 2-3 frames on a roll of 24 are actually taken indoors.

I went from being camera poor (Zenit-E with a 28mm Vivitar, 50mm Helios and 70-210mm Protonar) to my recent purchase of a Pentax Program Plus with 28-50mm macro, 50mm Pentax, 70-205 Cosmicar and 2x auto teleconverter. Then, last week, I inherited a new in box Nikon FG with all of it's lenses (similar to the Pentax setup, no teleconverter) (plus about 20,000 slides, almost 180 carousel trays!!). Due to family politics and desiring to keep the peace, I will have to keep the Nikon and likely use it instead of the Pentax. My father has been wanting a newer camera and had a couple Minoltas (thanks to all who helped me find lenses on eBay) but neither him nor I can justify the cost of the lenses for those Maxxum bodies. SO, I will likely pass him my Pentax and allow him to enjoy it (he currently has a K1000, which in my opinion is a wonderful camera). He will have to keep on using manual focus, but he should be okay.

All that to explain that I will still be on the group, enjoying the conversation and trying to add my two cents but may not actually have a Pentax any longer. Pop will have questions I am sure, so I will likely pass them to you folks. Hope that isn't a problem. :)

Fuji Superia 400.
YMMV

Mine does not vary by much, in that I use Superia 400 and Konica
Centuria Super 400 alternately.

But the original poster's mileage may indeed vary.

I can understand why mankind hasn't given up war. During a war you get to drive tanks through the sides of buildings and shoot foreigners - two things that are usually frowned on during peacetime.
