During 2004 there was a terrific exhibition here in Greenwich about
Tintin:

Is your wife familiar with the 19th century Japanese artist Hiroshige?
If she likes Tintin she may well enjoy Hiroshige, whose woodblocks were
very influential on Herge's style.

Among the presents I received is a copy of 'Magnum Stories', which is
an enormous book. Rather unwieldy, in fact. Nevertheless, I'm looking
