After waiting years for Once Upon a Time ... to come out on DVD, I was not disappointed. It is one of my favorite westerns. Another favorite western is The Professionals, also with Claudia Cardinale, and starring Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Jack Palance, and Robert Ryan. Nicely photographed. And, while on the subject of Once Upon a Time ..., Leone's Once Upon a Time in America (in the unbutchered longer version) is another gem, sometimes described as Leone's masterpiece.
