Hi Powell, Leon, William and Paul

thanks a lot for your good suggestions for the repair of the photo and
future handling of light.
I will try the instructions Jostein gave me, they are handy for the
next overexposed photo too :-)

My next photo shootings of the figures will be with Ikea style photo lamps
as suggested by
William and Rob and if possible some natural light from a window.


BTW, I still use a analog Pentax SFXn and will not got digital in the
foreseeable future....

There is actually  quite a large contrast range in the image.  If you
are shooting jpeg dial in a lower contrast.

In PhotoShop you can do a Select - Color Range on the yellow and then
modify it with Levels, or Curves, or Hue Saturation.

In addition to what Paul mentioned, when you go to reshoot it, try
moving the light closer.
