I really dislike the extending-barrel design. It introduces a weakness to the lens. I have also had the barrel come loose on an FA 24-90, which has an extending barrel too.
If this lens didn't have such great optics I would be very unhappy. The warranty expires in a month. After that I suppose I will have to pay for repair when it inevitably happens again.
