Rob, The reason I want both is just like yours. I still have a lot of pleasure shooting with my LX and ME-super... <vbg> I like digital for its convenience, but I just can't throw film away for the gorgeous slides it gives me~~~
Andy PS: I would love to see some photos taken with A16 and K15 (other than those in the Pentax lens gallery...<g>) -----Original Message----- From: Rob Studdert [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, December 30, 2004 10:20 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: DS lenses strategy (was PESO: Candy) On 30 Dec 2004 at 8:59, Andy Chang wrote: > Well Rob... > The two lenses are different, aren't they? <g> > A16 is a fisheye and the K15/3.5 is rectilinear.... > So, got to have both....<vbg> I have both, I'm keeping them as I still use film cameras, if I didn't I wouldn't. The fisheye effect of a 16mm lens on the *ist D looks like an ultra- wide with very bad barrel distortion however it can provide an AOV just a little wider than the 15mm when converted to a rectilinear projection. If you've money to spend or 35mm bodies to service go ahead. If you would like to see some example images to illustrate the above then let me know.
