Sorry everybody, when I posted my original message I was only thinking
about the technical aspects of the photos. I should have known that
considering the subject matter it would end up off-topic. Although I
have strong feelings about the subject matter, I tried to avoid focusing
on value judgements about "progress", "development", etc in my original
project proposal for my class. My belief was that regardless of which
side of the debate people fall on, they have to admit that the expansion
of the suburbs and exurbs and many other factors are resulting in the
loss of landscapes and resources that can never be replaced. Whether
that is an unnecessary tradgedy or an unavoidable side-effect is up to
each individual, but it's sad just the same.
