Are For Sale Fridays still in effect?
Maybe I just got an early start, and that's why I don't see any.
However, I have been pondering what to do with my Pentax lenses that I have left from my Program Plus, and, well, this past week, my digicam broke. :-( The repair is simple, but I don't have the money to fix it, and won't for a while, from what I can tell. So, since I've been reading about the kit lenses that come with the Pentax offerings here, I think that those might be a better solution for me in any case, so I'm offering my lenses up for sale... (Not an easy decision, and if nobody here buys them, I won't offer them on eBay or Allegro).
What I have:
SMC Pentax-A Zoom. 1:3.5 35-105. This is the lens that came with my camera, back in 1989. It's seen a lot of mileage, but is in good shape. It has one little dent on the outer ring, below the filter mount, that does not interfere with anything, and one speck of dust that I can see inside. It's been there for years, and I've never noticed it having any effect on image quality. This lens is surprisingly resistant to flaring, and, IMO, produces excellent color and sharpness, and from what I've read, is a well-respected lens. I have no idea how much this thing is worth--and frankly, would like to keep it. :-) However, if the price is right, I think I could be convinced to sell it.
Second lens: Auto Chinon Multi-coated 1:2.8 135mm telephoto. I have not owned this lens long, but in the short time I used it, I really enjoyed it, especially due to it's larger aperture. :-) Due to the fact that it's not Pentax, it is not an "A" lens, but would work just great with any older, manual-focus camera body. This lens is perfectly clean, and I would like to sell this one for $70 USD. However, make an offer if you think that's too high. :-)
Thanks for the consideration, and please feel free to ask any questions, or ask for photos. I have a bunch of both lenses, and can take more if necessary.
