Personally, while the bag is a minor distraction, I don't see the cup in the same way. It would be a natural to the scene in any case, and adds to the "out-of-character" element of this old man using a magnifying glass to view his cell phone's screen! The humorous element is just too powerful. One could wish that the cell were more obvious, somehow, but also, the exploration of the photo, trying to discern what this fellow is doing adds to the pleasure of the discovery, so it's hard for me to judge. I like your work, so I'm biased, I suppose. :-)

In any case, I don't think it should be tossed, but it does have some elements that keep it from being perfect. :-(
