Actually as far as I know I started using the term MXen about 15 years ago on rec.photo.equipment.35mm to foil the Pseudo Engish Experts who insisted that MX's was incorrect (it is not). It did not take long, a couple of months, before I saw lots of people using 'Xen for all kinds of things ending with a X. While I probably can not claim to be the first person who ever used it that way, I can claim that I never saw it before then.

Frank,

I did not coin the term. Though I may have helped in proliferating the term LXen; I may be one of the early ones who began using it profusely. This may be due to the fact that I ahve so many of them :-)

Looking forward to using a couple of LXen next weekend in south Florida,

that one). Don't know why, but it works <vbg>.
