FJW> FJW> FJW> Rob Studdert I also noticed this, when my *ist D ran out of juice I put fresh batteries in as well as downloaded the images and removed those from the card. The camera started with the numbers of the downloaded shots again. I guess the number gets written into some camera memory when you switch off the camera, rather then after taking the shot.
