Hi Bruce ...

Your comment about the brightness around the eyes made me remember
something from many months ago, that being that different browsers and
viewers sometimes render an image differently. With that in mind, I opened
the pic in PS CS, Irfan, IE 6, and MS Fax Viewer. While all the images
were similar, PS (which is the program used for editing the pic) looked a
little brighter. The other thing is that I usually work on my pics at
night, and the monitor is calibrated for the light level in the room at
that time. I think a pic will look a little brighter to me than it may
actually appear on most screens used in a room that's a little brighter
than where I do my editing. I'm going to look into that a bit and maybe
find a work around.

I really like the second pic, in which the guy's eyes are closed. I
figured a few people wouldn't as it's more unconventional. He certainly
wasn't trying to dodge the picture, rather, we were talking and he closed
his eyes while thinking about something that made him quite happy. I
wasn't sure if that would come across - clearly it didn't for you and it
will be interesting to read other reactions to the shot.

Thanks for your comments. Most appreciated ;-))
