I'm using eight Energizer 2500 mAh NiMHs. You might want to get a high speed (15min), charger but so far
I haven't run through both sets of batteries in a single day. The eight hour charger seems to work just fine.

I see on the boxes there ar a number of types.Some at 1600 and others in the 2000-2400
range. Is there a "best"type or would any of the higher numbers be ok for the camera,like the 2300
or 2400.
