Forget film and buy more gear. When you get the istD you won't use film any more. Buy an istD, sell your film bodies save a bit more and buy another istD so you don't have to change lenses. You will have 2 bodies which are identical and don't have different operating philosophies and film costs will be a thing of the past. In 5 years time I don't expect to be able to project my slides any more as slide projectors get more expensive (to buy and repair) and data projectors get cheaper.
