I use the Nikon software to import images from CF cards, and during import, use the IPTC info to add only a few things. I usually add at least one keyword, location, my name and � info (for kicks) and a caption/description. You don't need to add everything--just whatever you want is sufficient. Other software also allows batch processing, but all I've found is for Windows--nothing for Mac. I just recently discovered the IPTC feature, and wish I had known about it from the start. I also wish there was a simple way to access this from the Finder, and even to search on these fields. iView Media allows for it, but I can't do it from the Finder, which, IMO, would be ideal.
