We bought an Amaryllis "kit" from Wal-Mart just around the end of November. Quite the amazing thing. Inside the box was a bulb, a plastic flower pot, and a hockey puck thing of organic material. The puck got put into the pot, and an amount of water was added to it. Within a few minutes, the pot was full of soil.
Anyway, it grew quite happily for us, and is now sitting under one of the skylights on my second floor. I didn't do anything to light the thing, I turned the plant to where I could get a nice angle on it and photographed it, using the natural light in my house.
I had to clone out about a hundred dust spots on the sensor of my camera, and I know I only got the worst ones. Time to blow the puppy out again, I suppose. Thanks for the compliment..
