I looked at a 7D in a shop along with the *ist-Ds and Nikon D70 and D2h bodies. To be fair, all DSLRs are significantly larger than the Pentax offerings. Given that it's not a Pentax, I didn't find the 7D to be remarkably bigger than the (non-Pentax) competition.
