The MX is a great choice for anyone who wants a compact manual camera. I prefer 
it to the K models. If you can get it in good working shape for $175 or less, 
it wouldn't be too bad a move. However, parts for these cameras are somewhat 
scarce. I had one with a malfunctioning meter that cold not be repaired. You 
can usually find good used examples for around $150. You might want to spend 
some time searching ebay. if you could find one that had a recent CLA that 
would be ideal.
