The K-mount-lens to screw-mount-camera adapter adds considerable space between the lens and the camera, almost like a teleconverter. It contains at least one optical element, which allows it to maintain infinity focus.

I see. You loose optical quality, like with the Nikon adapter. I wouldn't go that way but it could appeal to some.
