I've had success recently by using a soldering iron bit, big enough to cover the screw head, and leaving it on for long enough to get the screw really hot. If the screws have been removed in the past and replaced with some form of chemical screwlock, this is probably the only way to free them up.
Judging when the screw is hot enough but the body has not heated up yet is fun 8-)
