I find it absolutely a joy to use my older lenses on the Ist-D. Nothing makes
me happier than to put my 85F2, 200F2.5 or 120 f2.8 on my ist D and shoot
away. I often think how much I would have to invest to replace these older
lenses
with new autofocus lenses as so many other owners of other camera makers have
had to do. First off, the build quality of these older lenses would make
newer models outrageously expensiver, along the lines of Pentax Ltd. lenses. I
figure if I can't invest a fraction of a second to hit the green button, I
don't
deserve to own a Pentax. It's a small inconvenience for a camera that offers
incredible convenience.
