and now, back to staring at snow out my window...
A friend who's more ambitious than I am just told me he's on his way out to
shoot the snow, now, at night. I think he's crazy! I might do it tomorrow
but there's no way I'm going out in this now.
Wimp.
Thursday night, I blew out the compound at the club to make room for a dog "rest area", and blew a path to our outdoor storage. Snow upwards of 3 feet deep, and hard blown enough to walk on. After supper, I took my dog to class.
Friday started off well, I slid off the road on my way to work and buried my truck.
Spent a half hour or so digging, realized I had tobogganed about 30 feet and was center hung, and climbed out of the ditch through waist high snow.
I then walked a couple of miles to a phone and called a tow truck to winch my truck out.
This was in my work clothes, I wasn't dressed for the occasion.
We had a fun match on Friday night, after which I spent about 3 hours blowing the snow off our parking lot, which was a foot deep in fresh snow.
Six hours of sleep later, I was up and ready to trial my dog.
