j ========== Sorry, I worded what I said a bit too strongly. Didn't mean it quite the way it came out. Thanks for sharing your example. I agree -- there are no rules in art. And I tend to view photography as an art form, not just a technical/mechanical thing. And if there are rules (I can think of one at least, the rule of thirds), well, then -- rules are made to be broken. Especially in art. OTOH, it does seem a bit retro to use a new medium (digital) to ape and old medium (B&W grain). Nothing wrong with it, but maybe a new medium should bring forth new expressions/techniques/impressions/textures -- whatever. Marnie Drat. I really don't know what I am talking about. :-)
