Thanks for the answers. To me it seems like there's an aperturering on the
D70, shown in http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond70/page2.asp
How far the "backwards compatibility" reaches, I don't know. I'll ask at the
camera club next Tuesday.

Canon and Minolta have abandoned it completely. Nikon partly (and to a
greater extent than Pentax, I think).

As they say, you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind's
blowing.

Personally, I'm one of those freaks who prefers aperture control on the
camera body :)
