hmm.. Dump the 10D Dump the MZ-S (I believe someone on the list is looking for one)
Reasons for this? You may already know how much better (imho) the 20D performs over the 10D with respect to exposure (especially with flash). The 10D, while no slouch, is pointless to hang onto if you have the 20D - if you want a back up film body at some point, Elan 7's are going for a song just about every used place you look. The MZ-S is a film body that I know very little about - but based on what you've said with respect to the crop factor and your lens selection - it sounds like it won't hurt you to miss this camera either. To reiterate what one Camera Store Manager asked of my friend a couple weeks ago when my friend was inquiring as to whether to get film or digital SLR: "Depends, are you going to be like 90% of my customers or 10% of my customers? Film will cost you more and unless you're shooting just B&W, get the digital." This is sort of a little quiz to help me make up my mind. Here's the situation: I will be selling some gear to help fund another, pretty pricey, purchase. I have a 20D, 10D, *istD and MZ-S The 20D is staying. The 10D is definitely going. One of either the *istD or the MZ-S will be going. The question is: which one? I'm not a great user of wide-angle lenses so that digital crop/film argument is irrelevant (the 18-55 I bought with the istD has yet to be used). The other lenses I own - 43, 77, 300, 24-90 work all equally well with digital and film. I'm about 85% certain about which of the two cameras I'll be selling. I don't have any specific requirements for the camera I'll be keeping (the Canon is my dogsport camera - that has a specific purpose) My question to you all is - which would you sell/keep and why?
