Well, first of all, you guys didn't have to "collect" anything at Area 51. The "apparent" world leaders got all the technology they needed directly from the aliens, in exhange for allowing the MJ 12 to be the "real world government".
It's all got to do with the Knights Templar, Freemasonry, and all that. The aliens are behind it all.
They told me all about it last night, when they floated me up to the Mother Ship (as they do every night). I better not say much more, or they could make tonight a very difficult one...
