The mailing list has an option for not receiving your own posts. It could be 
that it is stuck on. However, I am often missing others' first post as well. It 
looks to me like they may have upgraded the list software and the new version is 
buggy. Unfortunately I do not think Doug has any direct control over what 
versionn of mainling list software is being used.

I am beginning to wonder if there is a pattern -- first post missing; 
responeses not. (I often don't see the first post -- such as with this OT). 

And/or messages from specific email addresses tend to get lost. Certainly the 
chatty appear to still be making the list. ;-) Unless, of course, they are 
actually chattier than the list is showing to some of us.
