There's a tremendous temptation with new html software to use all the tools, with the result that you over-complicate things.

All you want is a quick route to the pictures, which are the point of the site.

I would have liked to see the photographer credited, and bigger pictures. I know you are worried about people printing them if you make them too large, but if they're too small they can't be appreciated.

If Dreamweaver has image slicing tools, then you can make them bigger without worries.

I especially liked the North African pics.

I have a pet hate for text done as pictures. It never looks right.
It's much easier to simply define the font, particularly if you want to
make changes.

All the pages are "Untitled" This is what is saved when you save a
favorite so if you want people to come back easily it's best to give it
a good title.

There is also a lack of navigation on the picture pages. You can only
go to the gallery, no next/previous picture, home or anything else.

There are 2 index pages. One with an upper case "I" one with lower
case. Both are slightly different. I prefer the upper case I page,
but the mouseover on the side menu has the writing the same colour as
the background.

I feel there is too much blank space at the bottom of the pages.

Someone talked about more "POW" or "WOW Factor". The idea of the page
is to show off images and have people hopefully buy them. So you need
a site that is easy to navigate, is pleasant to look at and shows the
images off at their best. If you add music, someone will hate it and
leave. If you have fancy mouse pointers they will annoy people. If
you put too much pizazz people will look at the web design and ignore
the pictures.

I think it needs a bit of polishing, but is a good start (particularly
the uppercase I design).

Just my thoughts.

Thanks to David, Leon and Marnie for your incisive comments and thoughts. I'll be sending them along to ma petite soeur, and we'll discuss changes/modifications based on what you've all said.

These are exactly the type of comments I was hoping for.

thanks again,
frank
