Perhaps so. I would never connect my camera to a computer, except when
upgrading the firmware. I wouldn't risk damaging the camera by electrical
computer failure or by dropping the camera. Why would I?
I use a cardreader to downlad the the image-files to my computer or my
Vosonic X's Drive. guess USB I and II makes no big difference.

According to the specifications on the Pentax website, the *ist DS needs an
USB 2.0 port. If that's correct I couldn't connect it to my almost 2 year
old iMac, which has USB 1.5.8 ports. In that case I would have to buy a new
computer too, when buying the *ist DS. What a splendid digital world!
Or have I got it wrong?
